BATTLES & BURLESQUE SPEAKEASY — This Thursday, NYC

We at BurlesqueBeat are big fans of the weird stuff, whether it be weird by definition or simply weird in context, and we especially like events that throw disparate elements into a pot and stir rapidly at a full rolling boil. Like this latest insanity from Patrick Soluri at The Salon—a live-action in-the-moment art competition, wrapped around a burlesque show, with live music and fancy cocktails by Fredo Ceraso. Sponsored by Grolsch Beer—which weirds me out, but as long as Stella Chuu is shaking her moneymaker, everything’s gonna be all right. This Thursday—get your art on, and rock out with your smock out.  —EDs

Four painters inspired by a sultry burlesque speakeasy will battle on canvas for the chance to compete in Paris, France… and you choose the winner.
