Burlesque Round-up for Feb. 6, 2014

[A weekly-ish look at the news in burlesque. Edited by J.D. Oxblood.]

The Twin Peaks Pageant story got picked up by Huff Po, and this Huff Po before and after burlesque photoshoot sort of destroys all the myth and illusion most burlesquers bank on night in and night out.

There’s some Zombie Burlesque nonsense in Vegas at Planet Hollywood, and another Joss Whedon burlesque tribute, this one in L.A.

Down in Texas, the Jigglewatts have launched a Kickstarter campaign for an upcoming tour. Over in Chicago, Michelle L’Amour got interviewed about Valentine’s Day, and elsewhere in Chicago the Kiss Kiss Cabaret.

“All tease, no sleaze,” in Brentwood, U.K. (the one in California would be the other way around)

In Montreal, the Lady Josephine gets a new name and goes classic, and in Brisbane, Australia, a politician called Mark ‘Captain Kidd’ Winmill “trash”—and he is demanding an apology.  Yes!
